The open dream of ex-Prime League to Royal Portrush, because he admits “could not find anything”

Former AS of the first league Jimmy Bullard shared his disappointment after his attempt to qualify for the open championship of Royal Portrush failed, admitting that he “could not find anything” during his round.

Bullard was in the mixture with around 2,000 hopes in the running for a coveted place during various regional qualification events across the United Kingdom and Ireland on Monday.

With seven to 10 places to win in each site for the final qualification match on July 1, the competition was fierce.

In competition in Rochester and Cobham Park, the former Fulham, Wigan and Hull City midfielder ended his day with one in three.

Despite being a scratch golfer, the 46 -year -old finished only four shots from the future in the competition.

Going on Instagram, Bullard thought about his performance: “Deffo not my day today but loved every minute”, and conceded, “tried to dig deeply but did not find anything.”

He also expressed his gratitude, saying: “A big thank you to @RCPGC @Therandagolf @Theopen and to all who come to support, at some point, I counted almost 100 from Yas.”

Previously, Bullard had participated in five Europro Tour events before the tour was stopped and had set out the opening.

Last year, an emotional bullar had to withdraw from the qualifications due to a back injury, making him cry.

Bullard was not alone in his quest for the world of football; Peter Odemwingie, ex-West Brom, Cardiff and Stoke Stike, did not go to his regional qualifier to send.

Since his retirement from football, Odemwingie has qualified as a professional PGA golfer and recently carded a round of 10 out of 82.

The most historic golf tournament, the golf course, is expected to take place in Royal Portrush from July 17 to 20.
