“Maro directed the group well during our stay in Portugal, then in Dublin this week. It is also our first opportunity to show what the Lions 2025 are talking about and what we want to represent as a team.

“We know that Argentina will challenge us on the front and outside, so Friday evening will be a difficult competition, but also an excellent opportunity for all fans.”

The meeting in Dublin will be the inaugural opportunity in which the Lions presented on Irish soil while they face the Pumas for the first time in 20 years.

Farrell has largely omitted the significant contingent of Leinster after their winning trophy success in Croke Park last Saturday, with the Finn Russell and Will Stuart de Bath, and the Chessum Ollie de Leicester, also absent after their Twickenham efforts.
