Mehidy gives the selection of the bangladesh “headache” for the Sri Lanka test

Bangladesh is stimulated by the return of the Multi -Far Multiple Mehidy Hasan Miraz for the second test against Sri Lanka, but it also provides a selection dilemma for team management.

The 26 -year -old, who missed the first test due to the disease, is classified number two among the versatile tests.

Off-Spinner Nayem Hasan, who replaced him in the first test in Galle which ended with a draw on Saturday, finished with a six-seater match match including a five for the first heats.

Head coach Phil Simmons admitted that the team would now face “headache” by balancing game 11.

“Miraz is world class, it is undoubtedly reinforced in the two departments,” said Simmons to journalists on the eve of the game in the capital of Sri Lanka Colombo.

“Nayeem was exceptional in Galle. It is difficult to leave someone after a performance like that. But everyone understands the team’s requirements. We will make a last call after training today.”

A possible bypass solution is sacrificing a specialized striker – potentially Jaker Ali – to accommodate the two spinners.

But Simmons was tight, saying that the last team would only be confirmed on the day of the match.

The hosts of Sri Lanka are struggling with a selection choice, after the retirement of the faithful Angelo Mathews, who called time in his test career after the Galle match.

Three not capped players – Pavan Rathnayake, Pasindu Sooriyabandara and Sonal Dinusha – were added to the team.

The selectors are likely to put Dinusha with his first cap.

“Sonal is a promising left -hander who also offers us a rotation of the left arm. Given the conditions, he corresponds to the invoice,” said Silva’s skipper Dhananjaya.

Sri Lanka will also be forced to make at least one more change with the versatile sewing Milan Rathnayake due to a side strain.

The draw is between a more stimulator – most likely Kasun Rajitha, back from a county cricket pass with Essex – or a second front line to Akila Dananjaya, who played a test for the last time almost six years ago.

The Singhalese Sports Club of Colombo is generally a friendly place, but the land should help the spinners as the game is preparing.
