The Australian adolescent Sprint Sensation Gout Gout said on Sunday that he preferred 200 meters to 100 meters, which was “too short” while he was preparing for his very first departure in Europe.
The 17-year-old won the Australian sports championships in April with 19.84 seconds over 200 meters and 9.99 seconds over 100 meters, but both with a rear wind above the limit.

He is about to run 200 meters during the Golden Spike competition in the East Czech city of Ostrava on Tuesday during his European first.
“I really like 200 over 100 because 100 is a little too short for me,” said journalists.
“You start and then you are already on the finish line.”
“I really like to go out and arrive at my maximum speed and continue to hold it at the finish line. So 200 is great and I love it,” said Gout, born in Australia after his parents migrated from South Sudan.
He gained importance last December when he timed the fastest 200m of 16 years by a 16 -year -old 20.04 seconds, improving the personal record of Usain Bolt at the same age.

The tagged drop enjoyed being compared to Bolt that he called “the quintessence of the sprint”.
“If I could be at this level and put my little style there. Try to be like him, but also bring my little personality with me.”
“Just to know that I may be on the same trajectory and that the simple fact of being compared to the best sprinter of all time is … Certainly something that I appreciate,” he added.
After the Australian championships, Gout focused on training rather than competition.
“We have done a lot of work … on my departures and just to become stronger overall for the European season,” he said.

“I am strengthening my strengths and really trying to get into the gymnasium and go to the next level,” added Gout.
“I am delighted to run again after a long time.”
After Ostrava, Gout will participate in the Diamond League of Monaco on July 11 with the eyes on the world championships in Tokyo in September.
“Obviously, the world championships are the main objective and I just want to see what I can do on the world scene against professional athletes,” said Gout.
“I just want to go out and prove me.”
