The result was a reversal of the 2024 tournament, in which Joanne came out at the top at once, and saw Emma return to the title she won two years ago.

In addition to taking their highly qualified peers during the two days of competition, on June 8 and 15, the players involved also had to face the Scottish summer time, the rain and the gusts of wind offering an additional challenge.

The Thomson trophy, awarded for the best net score, was won by Susan Mooney.

The club’s lady, Karen Skewies, said: “It was a few very pleasant days of competition golf, with three very worthy winners that we can all aspire to be one day – or perhaps it is a pile wish on my part.

“Congratulations to all those who participated and helped make the event another memorable chapter of the club calendar.”
